Raising Helen
Young modeling-agency assistant Helen (Kate Hudson) has a powerful boss (Helen Mirren) and a career that's right on track. But just as she's about to be promoted, her sister (Felicity Huffman) and brother-in-law are killed in a car accident. As the new sole guardian to her sister's three kids, she tries to keep it together while managing her new duties. Upon moving to Queens, she finds a friend in a local pastor named Dan (John Corbett).

Feast
When patrons at a local watering hole (including Balthazar Getty and Eileen Ryan) are attacked by a swarm of flying gargoyle-like beasts, they're forced to work together to fight for their survival. Fans of the "Project Greenlight" television series may remember all the drama that went into filming this gory horror-comedy from first-time director John Gulager, whose interpersonal skills made it difficult to stay on schedule.

Black Christmas (1974)
Terror reigns inside a sorority house a few days before Christmas break as a series of menacing phone calls -- and the discovery of a dead girl's body -- transform yuletide cheer into fear. Margot Kidder, Olivia Hussey and Andrea Martin ("SCTV") co-star as just a few of the petrified sisters at the mercy of an unseen stalker in this 1970s horror gem from director Robert Clark, who told a much happier holiday tale with his 1983 classic, A Christmas Story.

The Black Dahlia
In this thriller based on James Ellroy's novel, Los Angeles cops Bucky Bleichert (Josh Hartnett) and Lee Blanchard (Aaron Eckhart) uncover corruption and conspiracy within the force while searching for the killer of Tinseltown hopeful Elizabeth Short (Mia Kirshner). The film follows Bleichert and Blanchard as they venture into Hollywood's darker side to piece together Short's secret life in an effort to crack the 1947 high-profile case.

Bloody Sunday
On Sunday, Jan. 30, 1972, in the Catholic Bogside district of Derry, Northern Ireland, 13 unarmed civilian demonstrators were shot and killed by members of the British Parachute Regiment. Director Paul Greengrass's documentary-style drama -- nominated for an Independent Spirit Award -- depicts the massacre. The event has been blamed for turning peaceful dissent into two decades of civil war and inspiring thousands of young men to join the IRA.

Cold Mountain
Anthony Minghella directs this tale based on the best-selling book about wounded Civil War soldier Inman (Jude Law) making the long, treacherous journey to his home in Cold Mountain, N.C. Along the way, he thinks of his love, Ada (Nicole Kidman), who has fought for sanity and her father's farm's survival while Inman has been gone, even with a brave young drifter named Ruby (Renee Zellweger, in an Oscar-winning performance) there to lend a hand.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Director Gore Verbinksi takes to the high seas to helm the continuing adventures of swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), young Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and headstrong beauty Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Once again, the trio returns to the realm of the supernatural as Jack tries to weasel his way out of a blood debt with the ghostly Davey Jones (Bill Nighy), who threatens the wily skipper with eternal damnation if he welshes.

Rocky Balboa

Blood Diamond
Set during Sierra Leone's bloody civil war in 1999, this thriller stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Danny Archer, a smuggler who sells "blood" diamonds used to finance terrorists. When Archer meets a local fisherman (Djimon Hounsou) whose son has been forced into a child army, the two men's lives become intertwined, and they set off on an adventure that leads them through the world's major diamond centers. DiCaprio and Hounsou earned Oscar nods for their performances.

Farce of the Penguins
Funnyman Bob Saget wrote and directed this send-up of the popular documentary, pairing inspiring wildlife videos with a lewd script. Samuel L. Jackson narrates this tale of a penguin and his libidinous pals on a 70-mile trek, driven by lust in search of love but willing to settle for a single night of penguin heat. James Belushi, Christina Applegate and Whoopi Goldberg are among the stars who provide the voices for this hilarious mockumentary.

The Da Vinci Code

The Good Shepherd

An upstanding, sharp-minded Yale student, Edward Wilson (Damon) is recruited to work for the fledgling CIA during World War II. Though loyal to his country, Wilson begins to feel the job eroding his ideals, filling him with distrust and destroying his personal life.

Fast Food Nation
Richard Linklater's fictional tale (inspired by Eric Schlosser's 2001 book of the same name) critiques the junk-food juggernaut that's arguably responsible for America's alarming obesity rates. Don Henderson (Greg Kinnear), a corporate exec of a national fast-food chain, follows beef's journey from the corrals to the slaughterhouses and ultimately to your stomach.
