An investigative newspaper reporter uncovers a plot against the District Attorney. The reporter races to prevent the murder before it can occur and also help the D.A. in bringing those responsible to justice.

Swamp Women

In hopes of recovering a hidden cache of stolen diamonds, a policewoman agrees to go undercover in a women's prison in order to infiltrate the gang responsible for the theft. Assisting the gang in breaking out of jail, the policewoman accompanies them into the bayou to retrieve the gems. When problems arise with their boat, the gang takes a man and his girlfriend hostage to use their boat. The policewoman is now torn between recovering the stolen diamonds and also protecting the hostages, especially since she has fallen for the man.

The Indestructible Man

Charles "The Butcher" Benton is a convicted bank robber and murderer executed for his crimes. A scientist working on a cure for cancer accidentally revives Benton making him extremely strong and nearly invulnerable. Benton kills the scientist and heads to Los Angeles seeking revenge on his gang members who betrayed him and are out to find his hidden bank loot.

The Phantom of the Opera

Convinced that she will now return his love in spite of his disfigurement, he persuades her to join him in his subterranean lair, where he plans to confess his true feelings.

Boris Karloff bows in for one last time as oriental detective Mr. Wong in the last of this long-running series. When "The Wentworth Castle" catches ablaze killing numerous people, shipping tycoon Cyrus Wentworth is distraught over the loss and is found shot to death in his office. Dick Fleming is the prime suspect in the mind of the none-too-bright police captain Bill Street. Dick is a business rival and happens to be in love with Wentworth's daughter Cynthia. When cub reporter Bobbie Logan puts Mr. Wong on the case the result is a foregone conclusion.

The good doctor's aging wife needs fluids harvested from the glands of young virgins in order to retain her eternal youth and beauty. What better place for the doctor to maintain his supply than at the alter, where he kidnaps the unsuspecting brides before they can complete their vows. Sedating them into a come-like state he brings them to his mansion to collect his tainted bounty.

Using himself as a guinea pig, Dr. Jekyll drinks his formula and is transformed into the evil Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde's actives are the scandal of the city and area major, though secret, embarrassment to the kindly Dr. Jekyll. Dr. Jekyll attempts to keep his connection to Mr. Hyde a secret, all the while he cannot put aside that aspect of his personality which he has released.

The Brain That Wouldn't Die
