WWE Smackdown/ECW on Sci-Fi 2007

Striker and Big Daddy V

We got to attend another WWE television taping on September 9, 2007. Two shows were taped that night, ECW on Sci-Fi, which aired September 11 on Sci-Fi, and Smackdown, which aired September 14th on the CW. A total of 12 matches took place in the 3+ hour long event. Some of the bigger matches that took place was CM Punk & Stevie Richards against Elijah Burke & Kevin Thorn, Kane vs. Finlay in a Belfast Brawl, and the Great Khali facing off against "the Animal" Batista for the first time on network television. We shared the time on the camera and took over 200 photos of the event. We were even approached by a woman who asked us to e-mail some of our photos to her for her son.

Las Vegas 2007

Mr. Peepers

On Labor Day of 2007, we flew out once again to Las Vegas for a second time. In the few days we were there we visited a few places that we didn’t quite get to the first time we went out, such as the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage and the Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace. Crystal also got her wish as we went and saw Celine Deon perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, as her stage production is done with at the end of the year.

Anniversary 2007

Yup, another one

For our third anniversary we decided to head down to the Twin Cities to enjoy two wholesome activities - a Marilyn Manson/Slayer concert and a visit to the Como Zoo and Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. Even though we could have, we didn't bring a camera to the concert. We did, however, got a lot of nice pictures of the flowers from the conservatory and the animals at the zoo.

RRV Vacation 2006

Metallica

Since we had already taken two vacations during the summer of 2006, we decided it would be best to spend our second anniversary close to home. Jason came up with the Red River Valley Vacation and we toured many of the attractions that we can find right here in our own back yard. We visited the Roger Maris Museum, Bonanzaville, the Red River Zoo, and even got to take a ride on a pontoon boat down the Red River, among other things. We then headed west to Casselton, North Dakota, to visit the Maple River Winery for some wine samples before heading south to the Dakota Magic Casino and back up to the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton, North Dakota, and to the start of the Red River in Breckenridge, Minnesota.

Las Vegas 2006

Isn't it a statue? No, it moved!

Jason was one of the groomsmen for the wedding of Bill & Alycia Gabel which took place June, 21, 2006, at the Chapel at the Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada. Seeing as we had never been to Vegas before, we decided to leave for the city of sin a few days early to see as many attractions as we possibly could. We left on June 17, and managed to see the fountains at the Bellagio, the volcano at the Mirage, the zoo at the Flamingo, and the wax museum at the Venetian. We also got to go on a paddleboat ride on Lake Mead, visit Hoover Dam and got to look over the Strip on top of the Eiffel Tower in the Paris hotel, among many other things.

Anniversary 2005

Crystal Cave

For our first wedding anniversary, we decided to head back to the Black Hills to see many of the attractions we didn’t get to see while we were there for our honeymoon. This time around, though, we headed west on I94 in North Dakota and drove down the Enchanted Highway to see all six of the sculptors created by Gary Greff that line the highway. From there it was off to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the North Dakota Badlands and Medora. Our journey then took us south on Highway 85, which took us back into the Black Hills, where we got to visit the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs and Jewel Cave – the second largest cave in the U.S.

With graduation upon us, we spent our final spring break with our friend Daryl and took a 7-day cruise in the Caribbean. We flew from Fargo to Minneapolis and then to Miami and boarded on our ship on March 14, 2004. Over the course of the next seven days, we got to port at Cozumel, Mexico, and dine on a pirate ship and go snorkeling in the Atlantic Ocean, before it was off to the Cayman Islands, where we got to visit the famous Cayman Island Turtle Farm and swim with stingrays. Finally, it was off to Jamaica, where the three of us got to climb Dunn’s River Falls near Ocho Rios.

Nebraska Vacation 2003

Crystal at the vineyard

Over the 4th of July weekend, we took our first "vacation" together to visit with some of Crystal's family in Nebraska. while we were there, we visited some attractions in the Lincoln/Omaha area, such as the James Arthur Vineyard, the Ak-sar-ben Aquarium and the Henery Doorly Zoo. Plus, we got to see our local baseball team, the F-M RedHawks, take on their local baseball team, the Lincoln Saltdogs. This happened to be the first of countless times we would see the RedHawks in action - the only time, though, we would see them play outside of Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo.
