About Us
Crystal Graening
The last time there was a post here, Crystal had finally graduated from NDSU. Three years later she decided to go back to school and is once again a student. Only part time though this time around. Crystal is currently pursuing an advancement in English with a few classes, as well as some in Web Design. GO BISON!
Crystal remains employed full time as a Customer Care Internet Specialist at Swanson Health Products. This is her fifth year with the company, and she will earn her five year jacket this year at the annual holiday party.
In her spare time, what little of it she now has, Crystal enjoys reading and writing, the writing mainly being taken up by all the updates Jason has for this site. Also, with the release of the Wii, vidoe games are occupying many of her hours. Crystal also loves to cook and last winter enjoyed preparing many dishes from the Rachael Ray cookbooks. Crystal continues her addiction to TV as well, and hopes with school she doesn't get too far behind with the new fall line. Thank goodness for a DVR!
Jason Graening
After graduating from Minnesota State Community and Technical College (formerly Northwest Technical College), Jason landed a position with The Forum. His title is In-Forum Producer, and he spends his days designing for the newspaper's online site, www.inforum.com. He has been with the company ever since, this being his third year. Jason also started a gig working part time at Cashwise Video. This is a perfect job for a movie buff like him! It has also created a huge video library at home thanks to the option to buy the previously rented movies.
Jason continues to freelance at home as well, mainly for the many sites he has started. The bowling and softball sites became one and can now be viewed at www.hogpalace.net. Jason is also currently working on a horror movie website.
In his spare time, Jason is part of a Wednesday night bowling team during the winter, a summer softball league, enjoys watching professional wrestling, playing video games, and is an avid music lover. He plays both the guitar and drums.
The Mooch
Her name is really Socrates, but somehow when Jason came into the picture she was renamed. Socks is of course, according to Jason, Crystal's cat. Don't kid yourself; Jason is just as fond of that critter as Crystal is. Socks did however become part of Crystal's life before Jason. Socks was brought to Fargo when her mommy died, and she needed to be bottle feed. She was also stepped on by a calf and had a broken front paw... which only lasted a week once she found the comfort of an apartment.
Socks, even with her split personalities and kitten like behavior, holds a tender spot in Crystal's heart, Jason's too, though he isn't willing to admit it.
One final note, she owns the house. Nothing is Crystal's and Jason's, it's all hers.
Mr. Peepers
Well, he is the baby no longer. At least not in age (or weight) anyways. Mr. Peepers just celebrated his third birthday and will have been part of the household for three years this November. It remains extremely interesting to see how his spunk mixes with the Mooch's territorial hold. He, however, is the lover in the house. He loves to cuddle, play, be held, and just get attention in any way he can. Mr. Peepers cherishes Sundays during the winter as it is his day to nap on the blue chair (with the NFL in the background). The blue chair that used to be The Mooch's favorite spot... Instead, she's had to settle for the perch. The chair though is about the only thing she's let him take over. And like she being daddy's girl, Mr. Peepers is 100% mama's boy! His favorite pasttime other than sleeping? Going O-U-T.
