As part of my New Year’s resolution, I said I was going to spend time watching some of the movie marathons that I had put together. I recently decided to start a new marathon on my own, and as you may or may not have noticed, there is a new Movie Marathon section up in our Movie section of our web site.

I have around 10 or so of these movie lists created and I decided to pick one of them that would be an easy one to go through. The one that I happened to choose was the films featured in the 2006 After Dark Horrorfest. This group of eight movies, plus two bonus ones, was featured in the first annual horror film festival of its kind. As I am a huge fan of horror movies, this marathon is right up my alley.

Until now, I have put off watching any of these movies until I was ready to watch a marathon such as this. With the third annual After Dark Horrorfest just wrapping up a week ago, I figured it was time to do it as I have some catching up to do. Yes, the movies from the subsequent festivals will be watched and reviewed by me as well, but I feel that it is best to start from the beginning.
