Today, Brett Favre announced that he was retiring from football, thus putting an end to his career that spanned 17 years. Being from Minnesota, by default, I am not a huge fan of his, but you have to respect what he accomplished with the Green Bay Packers and in the NFL. Favre will easily go down as one of the best quarterbacks during this era and will be added to the list of all-time greats.

Favre set several NFL records during his time in the league, including most career touchdown passes, a record Crystal and I got to witness him achieve in person. Due to his retirement from the game, I have been inspired to finally post the photos from that record breaking afternoon to our web site.

The game took place at the Metrodome on September 30, 2007, and amidst a sea of purple and gold, Favre surpassed Dan Marino on the all-time career touchdown list by tossing number 421 to Greg Jennings late in the first quarter. He would go on to throw one more touchdown pass during that game as the Packers defeated the Vikings with a final score of 23-16.
