Plot
A group of free-loving hippies escape to a modern-day Woodstock for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a radical-minded psychopath dressed and talking like Ronald Reagan.

Jason's Thoughts
After watching all of the movies in the 2006 After Dark Horrorfest, The Tripper was a nice end to the series that featured many mediocre or downright horrible movies.

The movie was written and directed by David Arquette (of Scream fame), and featured many known actors such as Jason Mewes, Paul Reubens, and of course, his wife Courteney Cox Arquette.  While the small amount of star power helped a bit, it was the minimalistic story and over the top blood and gore that made the movie great.

The Tripper is a homage to slasher films from the 70s and 80s and is laced with a fair amount of humor that helps keep the minimal story moving along.  You can tell right away that the movie isn't trying to be an all out horror movie intended to scare people.  This movie is meant to entertain, and after watching all of these horror films, this was the perfect ending to the series.
