Plot
Six people are brought together at the funeral of a childhood friend and find a map that leads them to a long forgotten time capsule. Their discovery triggers traumatic recollections from their childhood with tragic consequences.

Jason's Thoughts
Six friends (of course) are reunited at a funeral.  This is a familiar start to many horror films, including this one, Crazy Eights.  Unlike typical B-horror films, though, Crazy Eights seemed to have high production values and great scenery.  Too bad that's about all it had.

In a nutshell, Crazy Eights is about childhood memories, long tucked away and forgotten about, that have suddenly reemerged.  On top of that is a ghost story of a vengeful spirit that is after these six individuals.  Unfortunately, these characters aren't too developed and are basically wandering around the halls of a vacant hospital getting killed off one-by-one.  The acting is also bad, which doesn't help the lack of a back story.

Furthermore, considering that this is a horror movie, there is very little gore to speak of during the film.  Not all horror movies need to be this way, but if you are not going to deliver on anything else, you might as well go and put in all of the gore you possibly can to make up for it.  The little gore in this movie almost has the feeling that it was edited out for television.

One good aspect of Crazy Eights is the fact that it is a relatively short film that clocks in at about 80 minutes.  Even with the short run time, I found myself trying to stay awake even though I watched it in the mid-afternoon.  Yes, it was that boring.
